De'Von Achane
De'Von Achane Dolphins not listening to offers
Wed, Mar 18, 2026, 9:08 AM
Miami has informed teams that have inquired about potentially trading for Achane that the running back is not available, Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN reports.
Analysis: Achane's availability has reportedly been a source of intrigue around the league after the Dolphins traded Jaylen Waddle to the Broncos on Tuesday in exchange for a package including Denver's first-round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, but it appears Miami views the 24-year-old running back as an offensive centerpiece to build around for new quarterback Malik Willis. New general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan called Achane "a marvelous player" at the NFL Scouting Combine in February and said the team will consider extending him this offseason, as he's entering the final year of his rookie deal. He compiled a career-high 1,838 yards from scrimmage across 16 regular-season appearances in 2025 and scored 12 total touchdowns while handling 305 touches (ninth in the league) despite an undersized frame. Achane has proven himself to be one of the most versatile and efficient running backs in the NFL, so despite the Dolphins' current stance, it won't be surprising if teams around the league continue to call about his potential availability.
Jalen Tolbert
Jalen Tolbert Signing one-year deal with Dolphins
Fri, Mar 13, 2026, 12:44 PM
Tolbert is slated to sign a one-year contract with the Dolphins, NFL reporter Jordan Schultz reports.
Analysis: Tolbert reportedly has a close relationship with new Dolphins quarterback Malik Willis, which may have played a role in the former Dallas wide receiver's decision to sign with Miami. Across four regular seasons with the Cowboys, Tolbert recorded 1,093 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns. Most of that production came in 2024, when Tolbert posted 610 yards and seven touchdowns in 17 regular-season games. Miami's wide-receiver depth chart is up in the air behind Jaylen Waddle (ribs).
Tutu Atwell
Tutu Atwell Miami native returning home
Thu, Mar 12, 2026, 3:21 PM
Atwell is signing a one-year contract with the Dolphins, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports Thursday.
Analysis: Atwell had 1,535 receiving yards and five touchdown catches in five regular seasons with the Rams. The Miami native should help the Dolphins stretch the field with his speed. Atwell joins a wide receiver room that doesn't have much depth behind Jaylen Waddle (ribs), as no wide receiver besides Waddle (910) exceeded 317 receiving yards for Miami in 2025.
Ben Sims
Ben Sims Gets one-year deal with Miami
Wed, Mar 11, 2026, 5:38 PM
Sims and the Dolphins agreed to terms Wednesday on a one-year contract, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: Sims was on the Packers' active roster at the start of the 2025 campaign. He was waived by Green Bay in late October but opted to stay in the NFC North and signed with Minnesota, and he finished with three catches (on six targets) for 30 yards across eight regular-season games for the Vikings. Sims currently projects to serve as the Dolphins' TE2 behind Greg Dulcich, with the former likely to also contribute on special teams.
Greg Dulcich
Greg Dulcich Staying in Magic City
Mon, Mar 9, 2026, 4:44 PM
Dulcich signed a one-year, $3.25 million contract with the Dolphins on Monday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Analysis: Dulcich wasn't signed to the Dolphins' active roster until mid-October, as he spent the first few weeks of the 2025 season on the practice squad after being cut by the Giants at the end of training camp. Despite appearing in just 10 regular-season games while serving as the TE2 behind Darren Waller (groin), Dulcich compiled 26 catches (on 33 targets) for 335 yards and one touchdown, all of which were his most in a season since his rookie campaign with the Broncos in 2022 (also across 10 regular-season games). Waller is an unrestricted free agent, and if he doesn't return to Miami, that would leave Dulcich as the Dolphins' top tight end on the depth chart ahead of Julian Hill, barring an addition through free agency or the 2026 NFL Draft.
Malik Willis
Malik Willis Gets three-year deal with Miami
Mon, Mar 9, 2026, 11:56 AM
Willis agreed to terms on a three-year, $67.5 million contract with the Dolphins on Monday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: Willis will reunite with a pair of familiar faces from his time in Green Bay as he heads to Miami in the form of new Dolphins head coach Jeff Hafley and new general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan. Willis' signing coincides with the announced impending release of Tua Tagovialoa as a post june-1 cut, signaling the start of a new era at quarterback for the Dolphins. Across 11 combined regular-season appearances (three starts) in Green Bay over the last two years, Willis completed an impressive 78 percent of his pass attempts for 972 yards, six touchdowns and zero interceptions, in addition to 42 carries for 261 yards and three scores. While the Dolphins still need to provide Willis with reliable playmakers beyond wideout Jaylen Waddle (ribs) and running back De'Von Achane, the quarterback's dynamic athleticism and dual-threat abilities signal potential elite fantasy upside if things break right in his new landing spot.
Tua Tagovailoa
Tua Tagovailoa Nearing deal with Atlanta?
Mon, Mar 9, 2026, 10:47 AM
Tagovailoa "appears poised" to sign with the Falcons once he's officially released by Miami on Wednesday, according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.
Analysis: Tagovailoa would join a QB room led by fellow lefty Michael Penix, who underwent surgery in late November to repair an ACL tear. Tagovailoa likely will sign a vet-minimum contract with his next team, as any new money would simply offset the $54 million guaranteed that Miami owes him. If Tagovailoa does end up signing with the Falcons, it'll be a strong hint that Penix isn't expected to be ready for Week 1. At the very least, Tagovailoa would get first-team reps (under new coach Kevin Stefanski) throughout the offseason program and into training camp. Meanwhile, the Falcons are in line to release fellow quarterback Kirk Cousins at the start of the league year, right around the time when Miami figures to cut ties with Tagovailoa.
Tua Tagovailoa
Tua Tagovailoa Set to be released by Dolphins
Mon, Mar 9, 2026, 7:25 AM
The Dolphins will release Tagovailoa after the start of the new league year.
Analysis: Per Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network, once the move occurs, Tagovailoa will be designated as a post June-1 release. The QB is due $54 million guaranteed for 2026, and considering offsets, Tagovailoa will be eligible to sign with another team for the league minimum after he's officially released. Tagovailoa -- who Miami selected fifth overall in the 2020 NFL Draft -- was benched for the team's final three games last year after tossing a career-high 15 interceptions (versus 20 TDs) in 14 regular-season games. The 28-year-old thus represents an option for franchises looking to add an experienced signal-caller to the mix at an affordable cost.
Alec Ingold
Alec Ingold Likely departing Miami
Fri, Mar 6, 2026, 12:48 PM
Ingold is expected to be released by the Dolphins on Friday, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: The Wisconsin product was set to enter the final season of a three-year, $12.2 million deal signed with the Dolphins in 2023, but he's since been let go. Ingold has spent time with the Raiders and Dolphins throughout his seven-year NFL career and earned a Pro Bowl selection following his 2023 season in Miami. Once the 29-year-old's release becomes official, he's expected to draw interest from teams in need of blocking and special-teams help ahead of next season.
Tua Tagovailoa
Tua Tagovailoa Dolphins prefer trade over release
Tue, Feb 24, 2026, 10:21 AM
New Miami general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan said Tuesday that "everything is on the table, including [the] possibility of a trade" regarding Tagovailoa's future with the team, Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: Sullivan noted that Tagovailoa hasn't officially requested a trade, though after the conclusion of the 2025 season the quarterback expressed a desire to play elsewhere. The 27-year-old signal-caller, who will turn 28 on March 2, inked a massive four-year, $212.4 million contract with the team in July of 2024 but appears to have definitively worn out his welcome with the Dolphins after a 2025 campaign in which he threw for just 2,660 yards, 20 touchdowns and 15 interceptions across 14 regular-season appearances. Sullivan stated in unequivocal terms Tuesday that the team will draft a quarterback this offseason, per C. Isaiah Smalls II of the Miami Herald, as well as pursue options at the position in free agency such as Malik Willis, per Bill Huber of SI.com. If a trade partner willing to accommodate Tagovailoa's massive salary guarantees can't be found, the expectation is that he will be released.
Tyreek Hill
Tyreek Hill Being released by Dolphins
Mon, Feb 16, 2026, 10:36 AM
Hill (knee - ACL) is among players slated to be released by Miami, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Analysis: Hill, who will turn 32 on March 1, is set to become a free agent due to his release being effective immediately, per Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.com. The transaction will result in roughly $28.2 million in dead salary cap for the Dolphins. Hill played just four regular-season games with Miami in 2025 before suffering a significant season-ending injury, a dislocated left knee and multiple torn ligaments, including his ACL, for which he underwent surgery late September. While all indications are that the veteran wideout's recovery has proceeded on track, it could still be difficult for him to gain full clearance for Week 1 of the 2026 campaign, and Hill expressed last October that he is weighing whether or not to continue his playing career.
Alec Ingold
Alec Ingold Amasses 61 yards in 2025
Wed, Feb 11, 2026, 8:17 PM
Ingold carried the ball two times for nine yards and caught eight passes for 52 yards across 17 games in the 2025 season.
Analysis: Ingold once again served as Miami's starting fullback, primarily operating as a blocker and special teamer. The 29-year-old totaled his fewest yards in a season since joining the Dolphins and has one year remaining on his contract.
Zack Kuntz
Zack Kuntz Joins Miami on reserve deal
Fri, Feb 6, 2026, 12:32 PM
Kuntz signed a reserve/future contract with the Dolphins on Friday.
Analysis: Kuntz has appeared in two regular-season games since being drafted by the Jets in the seventh round of the 2023 NFL Draft. He impressed at the NFL Scouting Combine prior to being drafted but hasn't converted that athleticism into a meaningful role in the NFL. Joining the underwhelming Dolphins tight-end room could provide an opportunity for Kuntz to impress in a different organization.
De'Von Achane
De'Von Achane Participates in Pro Bowl Games
Thu, Feb 5, 2026, 6:41 PM
Achane (shoulder) gathered in all four targets during Tuesday's Pro Bowl flag football game.
Analysis: Achane didn't play Week 18 at New England due to a shoulder injury, but before his only absence of the 2025 regular season, he netted a career-high 1,838 yards from scrimmage (sixth in the NFL) and 12 total TDs (12th) on 305 touches (ninth) in 16 contests. With top WR Tyreek Hill sidelined following his gruesome knee injury from Week 4, Achane served as the centerpiece of the Dolphins offense. Miami has moved on from Mike McDaniel to Jeff Hafley as the team's head coach, but the latter likely will continue to lean on Achane as the running back enters the final year of his rookie contract in 2026.
Terrace Marshall
Terrace Marshall Inks deal with Miami
Wed, Feb 4, 2026, 4:09 PM
Marshall signed a reserve/future contract with the Dolphins on Wednesday.
Analysis: Marshall will turn 26 years old in June and spent the 2025 campaign bouncing off and on the Eagles' practice squad without appearing in a regular-season contest. The 59th overall pick of the 2021 Draft by Carolina, Marshall enters a Miami wideout room devoid of proven depth behind Tyreek Hill (knee) and Jaylen Waddle.
Cole Turner
Cole Turner Headed to Miami
Fri, Jan 9, 2026, 2:58 PM
Turner signed a reserve/future contract with the Dolphins on Friday.
Analysis: The 2022 fifth-round pick from Nevada spent most of his 2025 campaign with the Titans' practice squad, but he's found a new home in Miami. In Turner's one appearance with the Titans, he failed to record a stat while playing just two special-teams snaps. Now in Miami, he could compete for a depth role at tight end in the offseason.
Nick Westbrook-Ikhine
Nick Westbrook-Ikhine Invisible in Week 18 loss
Tue, Jan 6, 2026, 11:45 AM
Westbrook-Ikhine was not targeted in Sunday's 38-10 loss to the Patriots.
Analysis: Westbrook-Ikhine joined forces with the Dolphins via a two-year, $6.5 million contract back in March, a deal that will go under the radar as one of the worst signings of the 2025 offseason. Across 15 regular-season appearances, Westbrook-Ikhine secured just 10 of 20 targets for 89 scoreless yards, a notable downturn after he had surpassed 350 receiving yards in four prior seasons with the Titans, including a 32-497-9 receiving line in 2024. The Dolphins have an "out" in Westbrook-Ikhine's contract this offseason for only $1.6 million in dead cap.
Tahj Washington
Tahj Washington Makes two grabs in season finale
Tue, Jan 6, 2026, 11:40 AM
Washington secured two of three targets for 26 yards during Sunday's 38-10 loss to the Patriots.
Analysis: Washington logged six regular-season appearances in 2025, in which span he secured three of five targets for 37 yards and fumbled once. The 2024 seventh-round pick saw the most playing time of his NFL career (20 offensive snaps) during Sunday's season finale against New England. Washington will enter the offseason competing to retain a depth role in the Dolphins' wide receiver corps.
Tua Tagovailoa
Tua Tagovailoa Future in Miami uncertain
Tue, Jan 6, 2026, 11:37 AM
Tagovailoa said Monday, in the wake of Miami's season finale loss to the Patriots, that it "would be dope" to get a fresh start with another team during the 2026 season, Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN reports.
Analysis: Tagovailoa didn't go as far as stating that he plans to request a trade, but he said he "would be good with it" if he were to play elsewhere in 2026. Head coach Mike McDaniel, who Louis-Jacques reports will be part of the team's interview process for its next general manager, said the Dolphins will host a quarterback competition in 2026 and left the door open for rookie Quinn Ewers (knee) to start, but he declined to comment on the decline that led to Tagovailoa being benched in Week 16. Across 14 regular-season appearances, Tagovailoa completed 260 of 384 pass attempts for 2,660 yards, 20 touchdowns and 15 interceptions, while also rushing 20 times for 43 yards and fumbling eight times. He led the NFL in terms of INTs at the time of benching. After having inked him to a four-year, $212.4 million contract in July of 2024, Miami would face a $99.2 million cap hit for 2026 by cutting Tagovailoa before June 1, while releasing him after that date would spread the cap hit across the next two seasons. Given Tagovailoa's salary, finding a trade partner for the 27-year-old signal-caller will be a difficult task to say the least.
Zach Wilson
Zach Wilson Free agency looms
Tue, Jan 6, 2026, 11:24 AM
Wilson completed six of 11 pass attempts for 32 yards across four regular-season appearances (zero starts) with the Dolphins in 2025. He also carried the ball three times for one yard.
Analysis: Wilson inked a one-year, $6 million deal with Miami in March of 2025 to presumably provide the team with developmental upside as the backup to Tua Tagovailoa. Upon Tagovailoa being benched Week 16, however, it was rookie Quinn Ewers (knee) who got the chance to audition his talents and start the Dolphins' final three games, an indication that Wilson isn't in consideration as part of the team's future plans. Wilson is now set for free agency, and it seems likely he won't re-sign with the team, though Tagovailoa has stated he's open to playing elsewhere in 2026, as Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN reports.
